The Quality Incentive Payment Program Year Five (SFY2022) is pending approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
HHSC has begun QIPP SFY 2022 per the preprint submitted to CMS in July 2021. Reporting requirements and submission deadlines are adjusted for both September and October 2021 to accommodate initial delays in implementation. All published performance and reporting requirements are tentative. They are pending final CMS approval of QIPP SFY 2022. Payments made to NFs based on these requirements are subject to recoupment if program requirements change to meet CMS approval.
Submit required data and reporting documentation for components 1 and 2 through the QIPP Data Submission Portal as follows:
- September 2021 submissions are due Nov. 8, 2021.
- October 2021 submissions are due Nov.15, 2021.
- November 2021 submissions are due Dec. 6, 2021 (no change).
Quality metric technical requirements for components 1 and 2 and required reporting Performance Improvement Project (PIP) templates will be e-mailed to enrolled QIPP providers by Oct. 29, 2021. These documents are also available on the QIPP Resources website. Stakeholders may request the documents by email.
Technical requirements for components 3 and 4 will be shared in a separate communication.
HHSC is publishing correspondence with CMS and updated directed payment preprints. This is being done while seeking final approval of QIPP for fiscal year 2022.
