Minimizing Claim Rejection for the Community-based ICF/IID

ICF/IID providers need to know that the Place of Service code submitted on all Long-Term Care claims from community based ICF/IID providers requires automated system checks. These checks ensure that the POS is appropriate for the service(s) billed on the claim. POS 65 will be activated on May 15, 2021. Until then, providers can use the current POS codes on their claims. Starting May 15, providers must use POS 65, or the claim will be rejected.
