Gov. Greg Abbott announced that HHSC is beginning construction of a new Terrell State Hospital building that will provide inpatient psychiatric care to North Texans.

The projects are funded by $1.5 billion approved by Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas legislators in 2023 to expand, renovate and build new facilities across the state.
