State hospitals and state supported living centers are accepting donated gifts for patients and residents to help make their holidays a little brighter.
The holiday season is approaching, and some of the people served at these HHSC facilities will be spending the holidays away from their loved ones. Because state funding cannot be used to purchase gifts, each hospital and living center has established a volunteer services council to raise funds for holiday gifts.
The services councils are instrumental year-round in helping support and enhance the lives of residents and patients. Monetary donations to the services councils are always welcome, but many facilities also have specific wish lists for donated items.
