HHSC brain injury programs will host their annual webinar series and conference in March to commemorate Brain Injury Awareness Month.
This year’s webinar series, “Adapting Together,” concludes with the Texas Brain Injury Conference on March 29. This virtual conference aims to celebrate the achievements of people living with brain injuries and provide education on overcoming adversity, developing connections within communities and improving outcomes.
The conference and webinars will feature people with lived experience, family members, professionals, and state and national experts sharing information on recovery and connecting to people and resources across Texas. All activities are free and open to the public.
Texas Brain Injury Webinar Series
Webinars will be held each Wednesday in March from 10–11 a.m.
- March 6: The Role of the Blood-Brain Barrier in Traumatic Brain Injury
- March 13: Community Reintegration Through Driving
- March 20: Connecting Military Traumatic Brain Injury with Adverse Childhood Experiences
- March 27: Living Life to the Fullest: Role of Adaptive Recreation

HHSC brain injury programs include Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services and the Office of Acquired Brain Injury. These programs work together to prevent brain injuries, educate Texans through public information campaigns and help people find person-centered supports.
