Get Your Flu Shot to Protect Yourself and Others

With the flu circulating this season, the Department of State Health Services and HHSC encourage everyone who can to get vaccinated.

Flu season often begins in October and can continue as late as May, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend getting the flu shot by the end of October. DSHS recommends everyone 6 months or older get vaccinated, especially caregivers, older adults, young children, pregnant women and those who have chronic health conditions.

Visit your primary care provider or local pharmacy, or visit the DSHS Flu Vaccination webpage to learn more about where to get a flu shot or to learn more about the flu.
