Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center Hosts Hiring Event

CORPUS CHRISTI – The Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022. The center provides residential care for Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The facility is looking to fill dozens of positions, including direct care staff, licensed vocational nurses, and registered nurses. These positions come with hiring bonuses ranging from $2,500 to $5,000. Other openings include food services and housekeeping staff.

“We are looking to hire people who are dedicated to helping others and want to improve the lives of our residents,” said Corpus Christi SSLC Director Melissa Gongaware. “Working at the center is very rewarding for both our staff and our residents.”

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, job seekers will undergo health screenings. Face masks will be required, and social distancing will be strongly encouraged.

On-site interviews will be available. Job seekers will need to bring I-9 acceptable documents to be eligible for an on-the-spot conditional job offer. They must also pass a background check before they start work.
