AUSTIN – San Antonio State Hospital is hosting an on-site job fair on Wednesday, Nov. 10, to find and hire qualified candidates for almost 200 open positions. Some positions include a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.
SASH provides inpatient psychiatric care for Texans. The hospital has openings for registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, direct care staff, custodians and food service workers. Qualified RNs and LVNs could receive $5,000 and $3,500 sign-on bonuses, respectively. Qualified applicants for Psychiatric Nursing Assistant positions could be offered a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualified candidates may receive conditional job offers at the job fair. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, face masks and social distancing will be required at the event, and staff will adhere to CDC safety guidelines.

Job seekers will need to bring I-9 acceptable documents to be eligible for an on-the-spot conditional job offer. Applicants must pass a background check before they start work.
