AUSTIN – The Mexia State Supported Living Center is hosting an express hire event on Wednesday, May 12, to find and hire qualified candidates for more than 100 open positions. There will be opportunities for job offers on the spot.

Mexia SSLC provides residential care for Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The center has openings for registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, direct care staff, custodians and food service workers.
Job seekers will need to bring I-9 acceptable documents to be eligible for an on the spot job offer. A passed background check will also be required for employment. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, face masks and social distancing will be required at the express hire event, and staff will adhere to CDC safety guidelines.
