Verify a person’s former foster care status and Medicaid enrollment status if the person:

  • aged out of foster care at 18 or older in another state; and  
  • turned 18 on or after Jan. 1, 2023.

Verify Medicaid eligibility using the following verification sources:

  • official form, notice or statement from the out-of-state foster care agency;
  • court order; or
  • contact with out-of-state agency.
