
House Bill 2059, 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, requires Health and Human Services to approve training courses on human trafficking, including at least one that is free of charge, post the list of approved courses on the HHS website, and update the list of approved courses as necessary.

Health care practitioners required to complete a human trafficking course for licensure renewal must complete a course from the list of HHS-Approved Human Trafficking Courses for Health Care Practitioners.

Do not submit this application if you are a practitioner needing to complete a human trafficking course for licensure renewal. Please refer to the list of HHS-Approved Human Trafficking Courses for Health Care Practitioners to find a course. Follow your licensing board’s process for licensure renewal.
Before submitting the Human Trafficking for Health Care Practitioners Training Application, interested organizations are expected to read the HHSC Human Trafficking Training Standards (PDF), HHSC Human Trafficking Training Review and Renewal Process (PDF), and Application Instructions Guide (PDF).
Interested organizations must submit a complete Human Trafficking for Health Care Practitioners Training Application (PDF) and course documents to human_trafficking@hhs.texas.gov.
