License Renewal Information for LSOTPs and ASOTPs
All Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Providers (LSOTPs) must renew their license biennially. All Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Providers (ASOTPs) who have not met the requirements for licensure as LSOTPs must renew biennially. To renew your license, you must complete the required continuing education hours, submit renewal documentation, and pay the renewal fee. Refer to Texas Administrative Code Title 22 §810.4 for information on continuing education requirements.
To expedite the license renewal process, LSOTPs and ASOTPs should submit their documentation online through the Online Licensing System.
- If this is the first time you are renewing online, you must first create a new online user account, review the information on the New Applications and Renewals – Online Licensing Help Center for more information to link your license to your registration and then you will be able to login and renew your license.
- If you have previously renewed your license online, you may sign into the online licensing system with the log in information you used when you previously renewed your license online.
- View FAQs for the Online Licensing System.
Additional Information:
- LSOTPs supervisor fees, specialty treatment fees, and requests for additional certificate fees are not payable online. If you are a supervisor, have any specialties, or would like to request an additional certificate, mail a completed Form 3247, Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP) and Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Provider (ASOTP) License Renewal Application, and the required fee to the address listed at the bottom of the form.
- If your license is on "inactive status," you may not renew online. Email CSOT to request a “return to active status”.
- If you experience an issue with the online payment system while processing your payment, please check your vendor transactions to confirm your payment was not processed before resubmitting. Submitting a payment more than once can result in multiple charges.
