Michael Lopez is the deputy executive commissioner of Operations within Medicaid and CHIP Services for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. He oversees infrastructure that crosses both the managed care and fee-for-service delivery models.
Lopez has over 20 years of experience in business, technology and operations. In past roles he shaped and implemented strategies for large global health care organizations, including a managed care organization.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from St. Edward’s University and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt professional.
