Deputy Executive Commissioner, Family Health Services, Rob Ries

Rob Ries is the deputy executive commissioner for Family Health Services at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. He oversees the administration and operation of programs for women, children and families.

Ries joined HHSC in 2018. He recently served as deputy executive commissioner of Compliance and Quality Control where he oversaw the agency’s contracting functions.

Before HHSC, Ries led budget and finance teams in Texas state government and worked on budget and policy development for the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Senate.

Ries has a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
