Continuum of Care Workgroup
To enhance mental health services for Texans, an interagency Continuum of Care Workgroup was created and brings together representatives from all areas of HHSC that influence mental health care.
Founded in Fall 2018, the Continuum of Care Workgroup is co-chaired by the Deputy Executive Commissioner for Intellectual and Developmental Disability and Behavioral Health Services and the Deputy Executive Commissioner for the Health and Specialty Care System. The workgroup increases communication effectiveness, ensures internal collaboration and mitigates redundant efforts for mental health care services. Membership, objectives and achievements in mental health services for Texans are discussed in the Continuum of Care Workgroup Primer (PDF).
