Chief Policy and Regulatory Officer, Victoria Ford

Victoria Ford serves as the first chief policy and regulatory officer for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. She is responsible for five divisions that focus on regulatory and procurement oversight as well as performance and business process improvement.

Specifically, Ford oversees the Office of Transformation and Innovation, Office of Policy and Rules, Office of Performance, Office of Compliance and Quality Control, and the Regulatory Services Division. She reports directly to the HHS executive commissioner.

Ford brings over 25 years of public policy and state government experience to the agency, including nearly 15 years serving in legislative offices and in the Office of the Texas Governor. She also spent more than a decade assisting corporate, nonprofit and governmental clients as a policy and government affairs consultant.

Ford has an undergraduate degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
